CHARLES PAUL HARTANOV Charles Paul Hartanov passed away May 4, 2012 at his home in Mancos, Colorado. He was 62. He is survived by his only child, Dr. Ciela Hartanov and the dog he loved so much, Lieutenant. He was the youngest child of Andrew and Phyllis Hartanov and leaves behind his three siblings: Tammie Coronado, Natalie Haughton and Drew Hartanov. Paul was a man of many dichotomies. He loved fine wine and travel, but he always had his heart in a small town and was anchored to the earth through his gardening. He was a lover of jokes and laughter, but he was inquisitive and of a serious mind. He was sensitive and empathetic but truthful and strong- willed. He was smart beyond measure but rejected the conventional ways of the world. It is these dichotomies that made Paul a unique and passionate soul. Above all, Paul was an adoring father, full of love and pride in his daughter. It is through her, he will live on. As Joni Mitchell sang, "The seasons, they go round and round. And the painted ponies go up and down. We're captive on the carousel of time. We can't return, we can only look behind from where we came. And go round and round and round in the circle game." Celebration of life to be held on Friday, May 11th at 4:00pm at Tim and Sara Miller's home. 41324 CR G Mancos, Co 81328 In honor of Paul, wear your flip flops.
