CHARLES LEWIS “CHARLIE” MITCHELL Memorial services for longtime Mancos resident Charles Lewis “Charlie” Mitchell will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 15 at at the Mancos High School Gymnasium. Charlie was born on September 26, 1935 in Springer, N.M., the son of Harry and Ynaith Mable (Williams) Siel. He passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 70. Ramona L. (Schultz) Mitchell of Mancos; his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Paul Crook of Mancos; and son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Melodie Mitchell also of Mancos. Five grandchildren, Karen Crook of Cortez, Andy Crook of Mancos, Jake Mitchell serving in the Army, Cade Mitchell of Mancos, and Branson Mitchell of Mancos; one great grandson, Aden Crook of Cortez; and two brothers, Bill Mitchell and wife, Pat of Hunt, Texas, and Jim Mitchell and wife, Frances of Mancos also survive Charlie. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Charlie Mitchell with the Mancos Valley Bank to benefit the Mancos Fire Department.
