CHARLES HAROLD McCOMB Funeral services for lifelong Lewis resident, Charles Harold “Chuck” McComb will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Summit Ridge Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Monday afternoon at the Ertel Chapel from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Chuck was born on April 10, 1935 at Mitchell Springs, Colo. the son of Harold Fredrick and Mabel Marie (Blackmer) McComb. He passed away on Friday, November 5, 2004 at his home in Lewis at the age of 69. On January 14, 1954 at the home of Reed Bayless, Chuck married Mary Ellen Wilson. He was enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and chasing cows. Chuck was a member of the Cattleman’s Association as well as a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. Chuck leaves his wife, Mary Ellen McComb of Lewis; his children, Tim McComb and wife, Terry of Cortez, Susan Phillips of Lewis, Oscie Leah Barnish and husband, Brad of Wildomar, Calif.; his grandchildren, Tony McComb, Keleah Phillips, Katie Phillips, Brayden Barnish, and Brayleah Barnish. Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Guy Lyle McComb; his grandson, Ty Kirk McComb; as well as his brother, Gary McComb. Memorial contributions can be made in Chuck’s memory to the Scott McComb Scholarship Fund, C/O Jerry McComb, 27042 Road M, Cortez, CO 81321
