Charles Richard Grasse

Charles Richard Grasse was born on April 8, 1933 in Cortez, Colorado to Leo and Josephine (Olsen) Grasse. He passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colorado on December 15, 2024 at the age of 91. 

 A visitation will be held at Ertel Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church located at 11502 Colo. Hwy. 145, Cortez, CO. Interment will follow the service at Cortez, Cemetery with the Veterans’ of Foreign Wars providing Military Honors. 

 Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine (Olsen) Grasse and Leopold “Leo” Godfrey Edward Grasse, his wife Ruby “Pat” Patricia (Pate) Grasse; his son Ronald Grasse, and a brother Leopold “Leo” Grasse, Jr.

 Charlie is survived by his son Richard Grasse (Bualee) of Newalla, OK; his daughters Jerell “Jeri” (Mark)Winkles, and Janice Grasse all of Cortez, CO. His brother Douglas (Linda) Briggs of El Paso, TX. His grandchildren James Brown, Elesha Smith, Stoney Bower, Melody Neighbors, Ronald Grasse, Jr., Cassandra Masemore, Zak Winkles, Starpath Littlemountain, and Samuel Winkles. His Great Grandchildren; Jessica Bragg, Elizabeth Brown, Abigail Brown, Elijah Winkles, Aurora John, Rayanne McClure, Kiersta Bower, Kenzie Bower, Abigail Neighbors, Ashton Neighbors, Triston Grasse, Mateo Grasse, Jesse Wooton, Fiona Wooton, Aubrie Masemore, Kaylie Masemore, Isaiah Masemore, and Ava Masemore. His Great-Great Grandchildren; Aurora Brown, Joanna Brown, Astrid Bragg, Alex Brown, Zion John and Josie John.
