CATHERINE ELIZABETH LEIMBACH Catherine Elizabeth Leimbach passed away Friday, October 7, 2005 in Albuquerque, N.M. following a long-term illness and very fulfilling life. Beth was born August 12, 1919 to Frank Leroy and Pollie Elizabeth Gift in Balko, Olka. She spent her early years in the Dove Creek, Colo. and other areas of the west. She lived the past 30+ years in Farmington and Los Lunas, N.M. Beth loved people and enjoyed her life’s work serving others as a waitress, and in the later years as cook and caretaker for the Saint Mary’s Parish priests in Farmington. She was praised and valued for her dedication to their needs. Beth loved to walk and put on many miles at the Hermosa Jr. High School track near her home in Farmington. She lived the past several years with and under the loving care of, her daughter Pollie and grandson Philip. Beth will be remembered fondly for her sharp wit, thoughtfulness, radiant smile – and all of her home and herbal remedies for “whatever ails you.” Memorial services conducted by nephew, David Englehart will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Ertel Funeral Home, 42. N. Market St., Cortez, Colo., followed by interment at the Cortez Cemetery. Beth is survived by sons, Arthur (Marion) and Fred Leimbach, and daughter Pollie Williams; grandsons, Philip, Joe, Jimmy, Michael, Jason, Robert, James; numerous great-grandsons and great-granddaughters, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving her are her oldest brother, Jesse Gift and youngest sister, Ruth Szuch. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lena (Gift) Blevins and Lorene Velesta Gift, and brothers, Robert and Leroy Gift. Memorial donations my be made to Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 6th floor, New York, NY 10001.
