CAROLYN JILL LANCASTER Funeral services for Carolyn Jill Lancaster, a resident of Phoenix, Ariz. and formerly of Cortez will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 16 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Father Pat Valdez C.R. will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. A visitation has been set for Sunday evening at 5 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Rosary services will follow at 6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Carolyn was born October 4, 1949 in Murray, Utah the daughter of William and Lavonne (McArthur) McKenna. She passed away in Phoenix on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the age of 61. Carolyn married Douglas Lee Lancaster, sharing many years of happiness until his untimely death in 1992. She dedicated 42 years as a registered nurse. In her free time Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, sewing and reading, and most especially being surrounded by her dog, Puppers, and her cat, Gato which provided much love. Surviving Carolyn are her daughter, Destri Wilsey and husband, Matt of Riddle, Ore.; her son, Damon Lancaster of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Christina Schofield and husband, Craig of Klamath Falls, Ore., SharRon Wilsey and Gideon Kipyakwai of Honolulu, Hawaii, Alisha Wilsey of Riddle, Ore., and Chandler Wilsey also of Riddle, Ore.; and one great grandchild, Zayden Schofield. Also surviving Carolyn are her siblings, Bill McKenna and wife, Laurie of Riddle, Ore., Tom McKenna and wife, Cindy of Stansbury Park, Utah, Jim McKenna and wife, Kim of Salt Lake City, Utah, Nancy Borg of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jolene Sharp and husband, Calvin of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Denise DeBirk and husband, Bill of Salt Lake City, Utah; by her great aunt, Bernie Hayes of Salt Lake City, Utah; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doug Lancaster; and by her sister-in-law Debbie Fowler of Mesa, Ariz.
