Carolyn Diane Kilgore

Carolyn Diane (Hindmarsh) Kilgore was born in Denver Colorado on March 21, 1956. She came home with her parents Russell E. Hindmarsh and Norma (Olson) Hindmarsh to spend her childhood in the Lakeview Community outside of Dolores Colorado. She graduated from M-CHS in 1974 and began traveling soon after, and put down roots in the area outside of Detroit Michigan. She spent her adult life in Michigan before moving back home to Colorado in 2017. She passed from this life on February 21, 2019 in Cortez Colorado at the age of 62.
She is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Lily Kilgore of Michigan, who was able to visit her grandmother shortly before Carolyn's death. She is also survived by a brother, Gary Hindmarsh (Larae) of Dolores CO, and nephews Jason Hindmarsh of Florida, and Tyler Hindmarsh of Dolores also a great nephew Emil Hindmarsh, also of Dolores. She is also survived by her cousins that were very close to her and thought of her as a sister. She also leaves behind a family of close friends in Michigan and Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents and both of her sons, Nathan E. Kilgore and Justen L. Kilgore. She spent over two decades working in eldercare in Michigan. The last 18 years she worked as a Hospice home health care worker and she loved caring for her clients.
A celebration of her life will be held this summer in the mountains in a place she loved, the date will be announced later. Anyone wishing to make a donation in her memory is asked to donate to Hospice of Montezuma. They took wonderful care of her during the end of her journey.
