Calvina Marie Mills

A visitation for Calvina Marie Mills will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. The family will have a private graveside service for Calvina.
Calvina was born August 13, 1989 in Cortez, CO the daughter of Janet Ann Redfoot and Calvin Mills. She passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO at the age of 30.
Calvina lived with her dad, Calvin Mills and grandmother, Giorgian King throughout her childhood. She attended head start in Towaoc, CO where Loma House would dress her up in traditional outfits to attend activities with head start. Lupe Hight and Stevie Height would care for Calvina from time to time while she was growing up. She attended Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, OK in 2005 for a short period of time. In 2008 she moved to White Mesa, UT until 2012. She took care of Shakeeyaa Ketchum at age nine years old. She cared for her as her own doing stuff that a mother and daughter would do. Make up was the thing for the two of them. She also like riding on ATV’s with Jay Hunting. Calvina lived in Cortez in 2017 before moving to Denver, CO.
Surviving Calvina are her parents, Calvin Mills of Towaoc, CO, and Janet Redfoot of White Mesa, UT; her brothers, Dustin Lopez of Myton, UT, Dayton Lopez of Myton, UT, and Dwight Whiteman of Towaoc, CO; and her sisters, Shannon Whiteman of Globe, AZ, Mellisha Whiteman of Peachspring, AZ, and Emillisha Whiteman of Globe, AZ. Calvina was preceded in death by Baby Mills; her grandmothers, Mellie Redfoot, Callie Collins, and Susie House; her grandfathers, Julian Hight, Windy Mills Sr., and Delbert King Sr.; her uncle, Melvin Mills; her aunties, Jeri Mills, Josephine Mills, and Pepper Mills; and her brother, Bradrick Hight.
