CALLIE DEE “NELL” REYNOLDS Graveside services for Callie Dee “Nell” Reynolds will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27 at the Cortez Cemetery. Reverend Lynn Evans of the Cortez First United Methodist Church will officiate. Callie was born Nov. 1, 1929 at Caruthersville, Tenn. the daughter of Calvin and Daisy (Brown) Davis. She passed away at the New Mexico Heart Hospital on Friday, July 22, 2005 at the age of 75. Callie married John Kelly Reynolds Jr. on April 21, 1951. The couple moved to Cortez in the 1970s. They shared 53 years of marriage before John’s death in December 2004. Callie loved to fish. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. Surviving Callie are her two daughters, Delores C. Robinson and husband, Dale of Hillman, Mich. and Caroline Utley and husband, Dewain of Cortez. Eight grandchildren, Paula, Cathy, Dale Jr., Thomas, Troy, Cheree, Norman Jr., and James; and 21 great grandchildren also survive Callie.
