Bruce Arthur Shattan

BRUCE ARTHUR SHATTAN Bruce Arthur Shattan, a resident of Mancos, passed away at Valley Inn Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the age of 60. He was born Feb. 9, 1947 in New York City, N.Y. to Herbert Bob and Pearl Irene (Wilkes) Shattan. Bruce came to the Telluride/Rico area some 25 years ago after relocating from Malibu, Calif. While in Malibu he operated his own taxi service for nearly 15 years. Once coming to Telluride he worked construction, but primarily he worked selling and servicing hot tubs. Bruce leaves behind his father, Bob Shattan and wife, Marsha; his sister, Laurie Mendez and husband, Billie all of Florida; his dear friend Debbie Burns and numerous longtime friends from Telluride and Rico. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 12 at the Shamrock area near Rico.
