Bridget Wing Jacket

BRIDGET WING JACKET Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Bridget Wing Jacket will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 2 at the Towaoc Recreation Center. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery. A wake will be held Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at the Jacket residence at 225 Whispering Wind in Towaoc. Bridget was born February 12, 1930 in Ignacio, Colo. the daughter of Nathan Wing Jr. and Alice Mills. She passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Vista Grande Inn Nursing Home at the age of 86. Bridget was accomplished in basket weaving and beading. She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching wrestling and listening to and singing Native songs. Surviving Bridget are her children, Kathryn Jacket, Wanda Jacket (Wilson Hamlin), Leona Jacket, Crystalene Jacket, Veronica Keelick (Fred), Renwick Jacket Sr. (Emily) and Quinton Jacket (Karen) all of Towaoc, and Roderick Jacket (Vickie) of Albuquerque, N.M.; 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, John Wing Jr. of Towaoc. Bridget was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Riley Jacket; and by one brother and one sister.
