Bonnie T. Wilber

BONNIE T. WILBER Graveside inurnment services for former Cortez resident Bonnie T. Wilber will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15 at Cortez Cemetery. Bonnie was born on January 26, 1922 in Union County, Florida the daughter of Roan and Phyla Turner. She passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009 in Grand Junction, Colo. at the age of 87. Bonnie spent her childhood in Union County, Florida. On November 18, 1941 she married Arthur M. Wilber while they each lived in Lake Butler, Florida. The couple moved to Cortez in 1943. Bonnie worked very hard in various jobs her 62 years in Cortez. She retired a homemaker. Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, quilting, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving Bonnie are her son, Jimmie Wilber and wife, Donna of Grand Junction, Colo.; her brothers, Wilbur Turner of DeBary, Florida, and Kenneth Turner of Keystone, Florida; her grandchildren, Steven Wilber of Fort Worth, Tex., Kim Kucera and husband, Dave of Grand Junction, Colo., and Amy Neil and husband, Mike of Grand Junction, Colo.; six great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Janet Wilber. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Wilber; her siblings, R.J. Turner and Hazel Kite; and a great-grandchild, Kendall.
