BONNIE MILLS LOPEZ Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident, Bonnie Mills Lopez will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 9 at the Lopez Residence located at 900 Lane Drive in Towaoc. A wake has been scheduled for Sunday evening at 5 p.m. at the Lopez Residence. Bonnie was born August 19, 1956 in Cortez the daughter of Jacob and Evalina Lopez. She passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango. Bonnie was 58 years old. Attending school in both Albuquerque, N.M. and Kansas she came home to become an active part of her community. Bonnie helped coordinate Beardance and Pow Wow. She was on the committees and was also a member of these events. During her spare time Bonnie enjoyed knitting and sewing. Surviving Bonnie are her children, Karlee Lopez-Yellow, Evelyn Lopez and Justin Ridgbear, Gina Lopez, Birdie Lopez, Lane Wells and Fellowhawk Fields all of Towaoc; grandsons, Jacob Lopez, Walter Ridley and Trever Cuthair; as well as many other grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She leaves her siblings, Norman Lopez and wife, Glenda, Raymond Lopez, Linda Lopez and James Price, Janice Colorow, Joselina Whiteskunk, Tanis Lopez, and Ivan Lopez all of Towaoc. Preceding her in death are her parents, Jacob Lopez and Evalina Mills Lopez.
