BOBBY GENE DAVIS Visitation for area resident Bobby Gene Davis will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, February 24 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. A potluck gathering will follow the viewing beginning at 4 p.m. and will go until 6 p.m. at the Cortez Senior Citizens Center. Bobby was born August 27, 1939 in Marlo, Okla. the son of Oscar Franklin and Maggie Pearl (Archer) Davis. He passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 72. On December 15, 1990, Bobby married Elizabeth Ann Reynolds in Lubbock, Tex. In his free time, Bobby enjoyed fishing, camping, playing Bingo and dominoes. Playing with his grandchildren brought Bobby much joy and happiness. Surviving Bobby are his wife, Elizabeth Davis of Hesperus, Colo.; and his children, Jimmy Davis of Comfort, Tex., Scotty Davis of Anton, Tex., Karen Davis, Charity Wendt of Hesperus, Colo., and Chris Reynolds and wife, Amber of Steamboat Springs, Colo. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Bernice of Lubbock Tex., Ronnie of Little Rock, Ark., Oscar Jr. of Eureka, Calif., and Mary of Duncan, Okla.; and by many nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; and by 12 brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bobby Davis Memorial Fund at Dolores State Bank.
