Memorial services for Cortez resident Billy Joe Baker will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Arriola Bible Church. Pastor Kent Slyter will officiate. Bill was born on October 27, 1930 in Sayre, Okla. the son of Delbert Clarence and Lillian Mae (Harrell) Baker. He passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his residence at the age of 87. Surviving Bill are his wife of 64 years, Micky Baker of Cortez; his children, Loretta Marie Baker of Aurora, MO, Timothy Lynn Baker of Amarrillo TX, and Kelly Dawn Baker of Grand Junction, CO; and 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Joy Jolene Sanchez.
