Beverly T. Brom

Beverly T. Brom was born March 23, 1930 in Winterset, IA the daughter of Lester and Lois Gertrude (Bruett) Trout. She passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Mancos, CO at the age of 87. Beverly and her family moved from Iowa to Boulder, CO in 1959. Along with her husband, she owned and operated a small business in Boulder for several years. Following her husbands death in 1983, she worked at King Soopers until her retirement. Her life-long joy was hiking in the mountains of Colorado, river rafting down the Colorado River and her "GOOFS", (good old Osky friends)a group of life-long friends that gathered together every year or two to share adventures and companionship. A member of the New Church of Boulder Valley, Beverly cherished her church family and found profound comfort and understanding in the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg. Surviving Beverly are her daughter, Pam and son-in-law, Gary; her son, Jon Alan (Sherry) Brom of Broomfield, CO; her grandchildren, Jeremy Brom of San Diego, CA, Shawn (Jackie) Brom of San Diego, Alejandro Brom of Bellingham, WA, Derek Linscott of Aurora, CO, Jennifer (Evan) Halsey of Broomfield, CO, Mike (Vanessa) Scott of San Jacinto, CA,and her great-grandchildren, Keller and Cassidy Halsey of Broomfield, CO, and Mariah Scott of San Jacinto, CA, her sister-in-law Gladys (Brom) Stewart and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Harold Brom; children, Robert Gene Brom and Mary Beth Brom; and by her sister, Barbara Shipp. A celebration of her life will be held at the New Church of Boulder Valley, 1370 Forest Park Circle, Lafayette, CO on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 12:30pm. 303.443.9220.
