Beverly Ann Papoff

Beverly Ann Papoff was born on 08/25/1948 in Cortez Colorado to Edith and Dale Likes. She passed away March 31st 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. Bev was the only daughter of four kids, Bob, Larry, and Duane (Butch) Likes. She attended and graduated Montezuma Cortez Highschool in 1966. She married her husband Rick Papoff on April 30th 1967 in Cortez, Rick and Bev had a lifelong romance that began in the 5th grade that as Rick would say was on and off again till their marriage of 58 years began. They resided in Farmington, New Mexico while Rick served in The Vietnam War and Bev studied cosmetology and began her career of doing hair in Farmington. Bev and Rick raised two kids, Kevin Papoff and Kimberly (Papoff) Hamilton in Farmington and then moved to Lewis-Arriola, Colorado in 1975. Bev worked at the UPS and Goody Barn until retiring as a homemaker full time where she raised not only her kids but numerous others as she babysitter for many years. Bev was a passionate gardener and could be found most summers there where she would grow all kinds of vegetables to be sold at Dolores Farmers Market. Bev’s true love was her family, she followed her kids and grandkids to all sports, Rodeo, FFA, or any other event they participated in. Always cheering with a cup of coffee in hand. Bev quickly became a surrogate and road mom to countless rodeoers as she traveled the nation with Kim for Highschool and Professional rodeo. Very specially the family was joined in travelling by Cindy and Allen Lichiliter and their kids who became lifelong friends and family. Bev shared countless trips to the mountains where she felt at home with her family camping and four wheeling the dirt roads in the family jeep, and days at Navajo Lake on the family house boat.

Bev’s Celebration of life will be held at the Arriola Bible Church on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers all donations can be made at the Dolores State Bank in a Memorial Fund in Bev’s name.

Bev is preceded in death by her parents Edith and Dale Likes, in-laws Johnny and Betty Papoff, her brother Bob Likes, sister in-law Fay Likes, sister in-law Kay Likes, Sister in-law Sandy Aulston, Brother in-law Gail Aulston, nephew Cliff Likes, daughter in-law Tina Papoff, grandson Wyatt Papoff

Bev is survived by her loving Husband Rick Papoff, her son Kevin Papoff (Wife Stephanie), Daughter Kim (Papoff) Hamilton (Husband Rusty). Grandkids Trisha Papoff, Stetson Hamilton (Wife Mary), Jace Papoff, Tel Hamilton (Wife Skyla), Gage Papoff, Kiffanie Papoff. Great Granddaughter Hazel Rae.

Brothers Butch Likes (Wife Barabra), Larry Likes (Wife Nila), Sister-in-law Cheryl Johnson, Nieces and Nephews; Lana and David Waters, Brett and Patty Likes, Darrel and Nonie Quintana, Pam Likes, Keith and Jessica Likes, Les Likes, Brandi Duran Mann, Jamie and Tyson Cox, Daren Aulston, and numerous Great and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.
