BETTY ALIENE WELLS Funeral services for lifelong area resident, Betty Aliene Wells will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 20 at the Victory World Outreach Church. Interment will follow at the Lewis Cemetery. Pastor Jonathan Bland will officiate. A dinner will be held at the Arriola Community Center immediately following the interment services. Friends and family are all invited to attend. Betty was born April 30, 1943 in Yellow Jacket, Colo., the daughter of John P. and Alberta (Cummings) Aulston. She passed away at her home on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the age of 63. On December 21, 1962, Betty married Glenn Dorrell Wells in Denver, Colo. Betty and Glenn celebrated 44 years of marriage together. Going to church and traveling were activities that Betty enjoyed. She also loved animals, farming and fishing. Surviving Betty are her loving husband, Glenn Wells of Cortez; her sons, Shawn Wells and wife, Kathy of Cortez, and Dion Wells and wife, Alexis of Florence, Ore.; her grandchildren, Cody, Dillon, Jesse, and Katelyn Wells; and her siblings, Nita Neely and husband, Renay of Cahone, Jean Elder and husband, Jack of Rangely, Colo., Neoma Bertrand and James Aulston, both of Cortez. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to Community Bank.
