BERTRAM “BERT” HOMER DALTON Funeral services for Bertram “Bert” Homer Dalton will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 26525 County Road M, Cortez. Internment will be at Olinger’s Evergreen Cemetery in Thornton, Colorado. Bert was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 5, 1918, and he died on January 28, 2007, in Dolores, Colo., at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane O. Dalton in 1996. His brothers, Grant W. Dalton and George W. Dalton also preceded him in death. He is survived by one brother, Melvin S. Dalton of Moab, Utah; five sisters, Naomi Dalton Pearson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Emma Jean Dalton Clark of Georgetown, Ida., Ellen Dalton Davis of Cedar City, Utah, Merle Dalton Bryner of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sarah Dalton McLaughlin of San Jose, Calif.; and by his six children, Grant W. Dalton of Westminster, Colo., B. Stanley Dalton of Falcon, Colo., Terry Olmstead Dalton of Castle Rock, Colo., Julia Dalton McLaren of Glendale, Calif., Shelley Marguerite Dalton of Arvada, Colo., and Randy C. Dalton of Dolores, Colo. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend. He will truly be missed by his family, and all who knew and loved him.
