BEN PARGIN WATTS JR. Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident, Ben Pargin Watts Jr., will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Tuesday evening from 5 to 6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Ben was born the son of Ben Pargin Watts Sr. and Jean Marsh on August 30, 1949 in Cortez. He passed away at Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colo. on Sunday, August 23, 2017 at the age of 67. Ben was employed by Ute Mountain Public Works, retiring after 30 years on the job. He enjoyed working on cars and time spent outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Surviving Ben are his wife, Jeannie (Adams) Watts of Towaoc; his mother, Jean Marsh of Towaoc; his children, Orlando Watts (Vita) of Flagstaff, Ariz., Christopher Watts of Towaoc, Bryann Watts of Vernal, Utah, Benny Watts of Towaoc, and Bentley Watts (Larlinda) also of Towaoc; and numerous grandchildren. Also surviving Ben are his siblings, Sandra Watts of Towaoc, Benda Watts of Ignacio, Colo., Benjamin Watts of White Rocks, Utah, and Diana Taylor of Towaoc. He was preceded in death by his father; and his siblings, Edna Taylor, Lora Watts, Clifford Taylor Jr., Noel Taylor, Bennett Watts, Benton Watts, Jackie Watts, and Patrick Watts.
