BARBARA LOIS DUNN Memorial services for Barbara Lois Dunn, 80 of Cortez will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 19 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with Reverend Erika Meyer officiating. Barbara was born April 27, 1928 in Denver, Colo. the daughter of Nelson B. and Lois G. (Robinson) Berggren. She passed away at her Cortez home on Wednesday, September 10, 2008. On December 20, 1947 Barbara married Vernon Leroy Dunn in Mancos. They shared 60 years of marriage. Barbara studied vocal music at the University of Colorado, Boulder campus. She was a gifted photographer and was an artisan for years with the museum in Prescott, Ariz. Barbara was active with Grace's Kitchen at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Surviving Barbara are her husband, Vernon Dunn of Cortez; her children, Robert Dunn of Cortez, Martha Lawrence of Cortez, Judith Dunn of Indian Hills, Colo., Elizabeth Wilson of Littleton, Colo., and Lynn Soukup of Cortez; and by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two brothers, Richard Berggren of Everett, Wash. and Ross Berggren of San Francisco, Calif. also survive Barbara. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Robin Berggren, Steve Berggren, David Berggren and Don Berggren. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Barbara Dunn with St. Barnabas Episcopal Church or Hospice of Montezuma.
