Bobbie died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Vista Grande Inn following complications with a brain tumor and a fall which broke her leg. She was born Aug. 24, 1934 in Mesa, AZ, the daughter of Joseph Collins Leavitt and Blanche Allen. Bobbie attended Mesa Schools, with short stints during her growing up years in Gilbert and Rock Springs, AZ. She graduated from Arizona State University in 1954. Bobbie was a wonderful wife, the best mother in the whole world and a very fun grandma. She had a delightful sense of humor and was blessed with an abundance of patience. She was famous for her cooking and her ability to feed large crowds of people often. She loved being with family and she would create reasons to have a party so everyone could get together. When she was able, Bobbie had a beautiful flower garden which she enjoyed immensely. She liked to watch the Lawrence Welk Show. Bobbie was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Her husband said of her, "She was the most righteous woman I know."
