AUDRY LOU D’ENTREMONT Military graveside services for Cortez resident Audry Lou D’Entremont will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 28 at the Cortez Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75. A visitation has been scheduled for Friday morning from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. The daughter of William and Florence (Manes) Sease, Audry was born on April 26, 1930 in Bellingham, Wash. She passed away on Monday, July 24, 2006 at Vista Mesa Assisted Living Center at the age of 76. Audry grew up in Bellingham. She then enlisted in the Air Force and was a Korean War era veteran. In the Air Force she met Ernest L. Irish, whom she married in 1951, and then raised her three children. After her divorce she met Jim D’Entremont who taught her how to fly; they married in 1973. During the 1990s Audry and Jim resided at 24 North Texas Street in Cortez where they were both active in the American Legion. During the Gulf War, Audry organized the support effort for local National Guard troops stationed in the Gulf. From 2001 to 2004 Audry resided in Kingman, Ariz. After Jim’s death she returned to Cortez, which she considered to be her home town. Audry is survived by her children, Mike Irish and wife, Bobbie of Ocean City, Maryland, Patti Rolfe and husband, Gene of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ernest Irish and wife, Myoung-ja Kwon of Hayward, Calif. She also leaves behind her siblings, Dick Sease and wife, Ruth of Sun City, Ariz., and Betty A. Chamberlain and husband, Robert of Anchorage, Alaska; and her grandchildren, Michelle Irish, Buddy Morea, Robert Pond, Rodney Pond, and Bill Kwon. Audry was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James E. D’Entremont in October of 2003.
