ANN BLAND Graveside services for longtime Cortez resident, Ann Bland will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Jonathan Bland of Victory World Outreach Church will officiate. Visitation has been set for Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to noon at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Ann was born July 4, 1916 in Supulpa, Okla. the daughter of Woodruff Doxtator and Annie Elizabeth (Grabe) Cooper. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the age of 90. Ann loved to quilt and spend time growing plants and caring for her garden. Surviving Ann are her grandchildren, Lynda Gosnell of Cortez, Cathy Frederick of Mesa, Ariz., Carmen Serrano of Tucson, Ariz., Becky Collins of Warm Beach, Wash., Debra McMichael of Seattle, Wash., and Jonathan Bland of Cortez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack David Bland in 1987; two sons, David and Samuel Bland; daughter, Carol Bland; grandson, Paul Bland; and three brothers and one sister.
