ANDRONICO �ANDY� MARTINEZ A funeral Mass for lifelong Dolores resident, Andronico �Andy� Martinez will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Father Derrek Scott will officiate. A visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Dolores. Andy was born November 9, 1931 in Cuba, N.M., the son of Celso and Marta (Moreno) Martinez. He passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at his home at the age of 74. Andy�s working life kept him involved in the timber industry. Over the course of his career, he was employed in various saw mills, a plywood plant, and logging. Andy loved being outdoors and time spent with family. Surviving Andy are his wife, Sophia P. Martinez of Dolores; his children, Gilbert Martinez and wife, Connie of Dolores, Helen Vargas and husband, Armando of Monticello, Ut., Sam Martinez and wife, Phyllis of Aztec, N.M., Frances Harrison and husband, Brad of Cortez, Cathy Rodriguez and husband, Paul of Hotchkiss, Colo., and Patrick Martinez and wife, Sarah of Albuquerque, N.M.; and his siblings, Joe Martinez of Farmington, N.M., Zeb Martinez of Cuba, N.M., Antonio Martinez of Albuquerque, N.M., Celso Martinez, Jr. of LaJara, N.M., Fabula CeDebaca of Cuba, N.M., and Connie Martinez of Mora, N.M. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents; and one brother, Roy Martinez. Memorial contributions may be made in Andy�s name at the Dolores State Bank.
