ANDREW FAUSTIN "ANDY" LOBATO Memorial services for former Cortez resident and current Aztec, N.M. resident, Andrew Faustin "Andy" Lobato will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 6 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Andy was born on February 15, 1945 in Dolores, Colo. the son of Fermin Eulogio and Ascensionita Monica (Espenoza) Lobato. He passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at his Aztec home at the age of 63. Andy was a devoted member of Word of Life Christian Life in Farmington and he had a Black Belt in Taekwando. Andy worked as an L.P.N. for San Juan Regional Hospital. He was also previously employed as a flight care nurse, a home health nurse, and Andy worked for a time as and E.M.T. for Johnson Hospital in Cortez. Andy loved spending time fishing and he enjoyed sharing a meal with his friends and family. Surviving Andy are his children, Orlando Lobato and wife, Sheri of Grand Junction, Colo., Randy Lobato and wife, Diana of Aztec, N.M., Michael Lobato and wife, Deanna of Grand Junction, Colo., Daniel Lobato and wife, Lani of Grand Junction, Colo., Andre Lobato of Aztec, N.M., Janae Pearce and husband, Tim of Cortez, Estella Sande and husband, Brandon of Spokane, Wash., and Holly Saville of Tyler, Tex. Andy also leaves behind 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Johnny Lobato of Gunnison, Colo., Richard Lobato of Cortez, Sophie Martinez of Dolores; and Marylee Archibeque of Layton, Utah. Andy was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Lloyd Lobato. Memorial contributions may be made in Andy's memory to the Memorial Garden at San Juan Regional Hospital, 801 W. Maple Street, Farmington, N.M. 87401.
