ALICE MARIE ROSE Funeral services for Alice Marie Rose, a Dolores resident since 1955, will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cortez, Colo. Burial will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery in Dolores. Pastor Bruce Burkett will officiate. Viewing has been scheduled from 2:00 until 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoon at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Alice was born on March 7, 1926 in Big Flat, Arkansas the daughter of George and Erdine (Ramsey) Norman. She passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Vista Grande in at the age of 89. Alice married Jesse Daniel Rose on October 31, 1944 in Oklahoma. Cooking, baking, sewing, making blankets and taking care of the kids and grandkids were among Alice's favorite pastimes. Alice also spent hours reading her Bible. Surviving Alice are her husband, Jesse D. Rose of Dolores, Colo.; her daughter, Kathey Barney and husband, Randy of Phoenix, Ariz.; her sons, Danny Rose, Johnny Rose, Terry Rose, Chris Rose and wife, Gail Litil and Mark Rose all of Dolores, Colo.; her sister, Omalea Sisco of Ponca City, Oka; her brother, Clarence Norman of Eudora, Kan.; her six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Steve Rose; and her sisters, Virginia Norman, Mildred Norman and Dee Norman.
