ALICE ISABELL HAYDON Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident, Alice Isabell Haydon will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled Tuesday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Alice was born on April 2, 1914 the daughter of James M. and Cornelia Jane (Nelson) Palmer in Putnam, Okla. She passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. Alice was a very active member of the Cortez Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a gifted crafter, enjoying sewing, embroidery and quilting. Surviving Alice are her children, Irene Geiswite and husband, Tate, Joe Haydon, and Lenora Lewis all of Cortez; her 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William T. Haydon; her son, James T. Haydon; an infant daughter; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and three sons-in-law.
