ALFRED TONY VALLEJOS It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Vallejos, 86 who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family March 27, 2015 at Vista Grande Nursing Home. Alfred was born at Mylers corner to Fermen and Fedelina Vallejos. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather who had a love for being with his family, animals and fishing. Alfred was a hardworking man who worked at the Forest Service, the sawmill and first street carwash. Surviving Alfred are his sons, Rudy Vallejos and wife, Marsha of Cortez, Ruben Vallejos and wife, Debbie of Brighton, Colo., Dennis Vallejos of Cortez; daughter, Lynette Vallejos and husband, Mike Swope of Denver, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Karen Schonberger of Cortez; granddaughter, Petra Vallejos and husband, Matt Kocher; sisters, Bernadine Vallejos, Fern Maestas, Marjorie Martinez; and brother, Louie Vallejos; and numerous grandchildrewn, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He will be missed by many. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alfred Vallejos Memorial Fund will be taken at Dolores State Bank and Go Fund Me on Lynette Vallejos Facebook page. Memorial Mass services for Cortez resident, Alfred Tony Vallejos will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Reverend Pat Valdez, C.R. will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery.
