Alfonso Rascon

Funeral Mass for longtime Cortez resident Alfonso Rascon will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Reverend Pat Valdez, C.R. will officiate. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. A Rosary will be held from 7 - 8 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Ertel Memorial Chapel.
Alfonso was born March 15, 1946 in Ejido Rincon de la Concha, Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Manuel and Refujio (Garcia) Rascon. He passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Cortez at the age of 72.
Surviving Alfonso are his wife, Bertha Rascon of Cortez, CO; his daughter, Minerva Fuerte (David) of Kirtland, NM; his son, Luis Rascon (Maria) of Cortez, CO; his brother, Otilio Rascon of Cheyenne, WY; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Alfonso was preceded in death by his parents.
