ALEXANDRINA OCTAVIANA ULIBARRI-LOPEZ Funeral services for longtime Dolores resident Alexandrina Octaviana Ulibarri-Lopez will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 14 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, Cortez. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Reverend Joseph L. Gallegos, C.R. will officiate. A Rosary will be held at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church on Wednesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. Alexandrina was born March 22, 1931 in La Plazita Blanca, N.M. the daughter of Margarita Cenaida Ulibarri. She passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Madison House at the age of 77. On April 9, 1945, Alexandrina married the love of her life, Jose Rosenaldo Lopez. To this union twelve children were born. Alexandrina was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Dolores. She loved cooking, canning, crocheting, embroidering, fishing and camping, going to the casino and traveling, reading her bible, doing word puzzles, talking on the phone, and spending time with her beloved pets- Tweety her parakeet, and Holly her cocker spaniel dog. She loved playing bingo, and attending other activities, all the while earning "Mad Money" with her newfound friends of Madison House. She was a member of "La Sociedad de San Antonio" of Tierra Amarilla, N.M. Alexandrina especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Surviving Alexandrina are her twelve children, Angie Medina and husband, Ray of Cortez, Joe Lopez and wife, Priscilla Dolores, Christina Miera and husband, Randy of Cortez, Juanita Warren and husband, John of Cortez, Mary Cross and friend, Stan of Dolores, Orlando Lopez and wife, Tina of Cortez, Santiago Lopez of Dolores, Theresa Scheuerman and husband, Scott of Lewis, MaryAnn Krause and husband, Mike of Fort Atkinson, Wis., Frank Lopez and wife, Katrina of Dolores, Cathy McGuire and husband, Randy of Dolores and Raymond Lopez and wife, Tammy of Cortez. Twenty-two grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren also survive her. Alexandrina also leaves behind her siblings, Joe Ulibarri and wife, Magda of Mancos, Bernice Cross and husband, Jerry of Albert, Kan., Olivia Garduno and husband, Carlos of Denver, Silviano Maestas and wife, Trinie of Montrose, Colo., JoAnn Burnet and husband, Leroy of Olathe, Colo., and Maxine Lopez of Olathe, Colo., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jose Rosenaldo Lopez; her mother, Margarita Cenaida Ulibarri; her sister, Victoriana Gonzales and her husband, Jose; and her son-in-law, James Leroy Cross.
