Alecia Lee Gustamantes

A Celebration of Life and Rosary, open to the public, will be held for Alecia Lee Gustamantes at 7 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held privately by the family on Saturday morning, June 20, 2020. Father Lorenzo Uribe will officiate. The public is invited to the interment at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Samora Family Cemetery, 21512 CR N, Cortez, CO.
Alecia was born August 29, 1989 in Cortez, CO the daughter of Debbie Corinne Gustamantes and Michael Lee Lobato. She passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in Washington County, CO at the age of 30.
Alicia graduated from Southwest Open High School in Cortez, CO. She then began her family and was later certified as a Nurses Aid. She lived, worked and raised her family in Grand Junction, CO until shortly before her death.
Alecia is survived by her beautiful children, her greatest love, Alize Martin, Demario Meraz, Devonte Meraz, and Halayna Meraz. Also surviving Alecia are her mother, Debbie Foster of Dickinson, ND; her sisters, Zenida Slowman of Cortez, CO, and Laticia Turner (Tyler) of Dickinson, ND; her brother, Dominic Gustamantes (Kaiti) of Cortez, CO; her grandmother, Presella Gustamantes of Cortez, CO; her father, Michael Lobato of Bloomfield, NM and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Alecia was preceded in death by her step-father, Shane Foster; and her grandfather, Senovio (Sonnie) Gustamantes.
In lieu of monetary contributions the family has requested the donation of rose bushes and trees for the Samora Family Cemetery.
