ALICIA FRALEY-GLASS Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Aida Alicia Fraley-Glass will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Alicia was born in Abilene, Tex. on May 1, 1933 the daughter of James Chamberlain and Aida (Nicholas) Bounds. She passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 in Cortez at the age of 80. Alicia married Billy Jack Fraley and to this union three sons were born. Billy passed away in 1987. She then married Fred Glass. Being very active in her church as well as a lifelong and gifted musician, Alicia was a faithful parishioner and organist for many years at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. She was a member of Oblate of the Sisters of Charity as well as a member of P.E.O. from the time she moved to Cortez. Alicia loved growing flower gardens and refinishing furniture. She was a fabulous cook and threw wonderful dinners. Her family and friends loved being invited to dinner at her house. Surviving Alicia are her husband, Fred Glass of Canon City; children, David Fraley and wife, Kristine Nunn of Cortez, Richard Fraley and wife, Jeanette of Golden, Colo. and Joel Fraley and wife, Michele of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Rebecca Fraley of Denver, Colo. Evan Fraley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Claire Fraley of Albuquerque, N.M., Ryan Fraley of Golden, Colo., Aeron Acott of Greeley, Colo., Tell Acott of Cortez, and Kayla Acott of Tacoma, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, Billy Jack Fraley. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
