ADA LUCILLE DICKEN Funeral services for longtime Dove Creek resident, Ada Lucille Dicken will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at the Dove Creek Memorial Hall. Pastor Matt Segebartt will officiate. Interment will follow at the Dove Creek Cemetery. Ada was born in Lincoln, Neb. on June 16, 1934 the daughter of Frank Herbert and Dorothy (Gray) Zehm. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. She was 72 years old. On November 5, 1954 Ada married Max Dicken. Shortly thereafter Max brought her to the Dove Creek area where she found that she loved country living. She enjoyed her time spent tending her flower and vegetable gardens and liked sewing and crocheting. Ada was adamant that she disliked traveling. She was a member of the Dove Creek Seventh Day Adventist Church and Tigress Club. Ada taught in the elementary schools for 13 years and then substitute taught whenever called. Surviving Ada are her beloved husband of 52 years, Max Dicken of Dove Creek; two daughters, Linda Tope and husband, Jerry of Dove Creek and Janelle Conklin and husband, Ed of Greeley, Colo.; one grandson, Russell Tope of Dove Creek; and one sister, Velora Dulle of Concord, Calif.
