ABEDON ROMOLO "ABE" SENA Graveside services for 33 year long resident of Cortez, Abedon Romolo "Abe" Sena will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 26 at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Jeff McDonnel will officiate. Abe was born on December 20, 1937 in Pecos, N.M. the son of Patricio and Antonia Sena. He passed away at his Cortez residence on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the age of 77. On August 25, 1982 Abe married Emma Margaret Espinoza in Cortez. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and drives in the mountains. Abe excelled in crocheting, needle point and cooking. Surviving Abe are his children, Margaret Dale and husband, Tom of Alton, Mo., Dave Sanchez and wife, Sheri of Olympia, Wash., Virginia Sanchez of Cortez, Terry Wheeler of Cortez, Sylvia Molina and husband, Jay of Littleton, Colo., Judi Lopez and husband, Dale of Cortez, Olga Loomis and husband, Steve Sr. of Lakewood, Colo. and Harvey Sanchez and wife, Jody of Olympia, Wash.; numerous grand children, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; his siblings, Pauline Armijo and husband, Phil of Greely, Colo., Isabel Velasquez and husband, Vince of Greely, Colo., Susan Sena of Albuquerque, N.M., John Sena, Tony Sena and wife, Linda, Martin Gurule and wife, Marylou, and Raymond Gurule all of Greely, Colo. Abe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his siblings, Patricio Sena Jr., Sophie Sena, Salomon Sena, and Jerry Sena; and his nephew, Paul Sena.
