ROBERTO “SISTO” SISTITO RANDALL

Sisto was born December 9, 1954 to Helen and Bel Randall. Sisto had nine brothers and sisters and eight half brothers and sisters.

Sisto grew up in Dolores and graduated from the Dolores Schools in May 1973. In June of 1973, Sisto joined the United States Army along with several friends. Sisto served for three years and was honorably discharged. Sisto returned home and started dating his high school sweetheart, Donna Clemensen, who he then married on September 10, 1977.

After completing a heavy equipment course at the Vo Tech School, he got a job with Wagner Equipment in Grand Junction, Colorado. While in Grand Junction, the three most important people in his life were born. Sisto Jr., Jacob, and Nicholas.

In 1983, Sisto moved his family back to Dolores where he continued to work on heavy equipment for Wagner in Durango, Rust in Farmington, Neilsons and Weeminuche.

Sisto loved hunting and fishing, especially if it was with his boys, brothers, or father-in-law. Sisto also had a love for fast cars. He loved the old muscle cars and going to the drag races.

Sisto had another joy in his life and that was being on the Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed being part of something that helped so many people.

God blessed Sisto and Donna with seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Landen, Mackenzie, Rylan, Ben, Michael, and Travis.

In 2004, Sisto went to work for KBR. There, he did military support for the Army during the war in Iraq. He went so he could possibly be close to his son, Sisto, who was deployed there.

Sisto loved to talk to people. After visiting with someone, Donna would ask who was that. His reply would not always be a name but, “I don’t know, maybe they thought I was Ben or Nick.”

Preceeding Sisto in death were his parents, Helen and Bel,his older brother Ben, his niece Marlene, both sets of grandparents, his mother-in-law (Bonnie) and his father-in-law, “Skeet”.

You can ask any of Sisto’s friends, family, or sons to tell you a story about Sisto and you are sure to get a laugh if not a belly laugh.

Sisto was quite the guy and is going to be greatly missed.
